Teaching Better Baseball

The first thing about performing a proper relay is communication.  Remember, there are people yelling everywhere from the fans to players and coaches.  As the outfielder runs to the ball, make sure the fielder is yelling loud enough to alert the outfielder which direction to turn and throw the ball.  Usually outfielders are taught to drop step and throw to make the quick transfer, so knowing what direction to throw the ball is imperative.
