REDIRECTIONS: Redirections to other bases are usually done after the catcher can already concede that the lead runner will score, or if he sees a better, higher percentage opportunity to make an out at another base. A redirection in this case can be used in three opportunities:
- Perhaps the lead runner takes a wide turn and retreats to third.
- Perhaps a runner from 2nd or 1st base tries to advance on the throw to the plate.
- Perhaps the Batter tries to stretch his single into a double.
