Squish the Bug vs. Toe Up?

Toe Up SwingA large debate among hitting circles is the argument between "squishing the bug" and "toe up" during the swing.  Some coaches argue that squishing the bug is necessary to initiate lower body rotation and some coaches argue that squish the bug prevents hitters from pushing into the ball.

I have a couple of opinions on the matter since I teach BOTH methods to my hitters.
